Modular Synthesizer Ensemble

The Modular Synthesizer Ensemble consists of a fixed instrumentation of twelve modular synthesizers. Directed by Gammon, a musician and music educator who has occupied himself with synthesizers since the 1990s, the participants in the one-day workshop receive insight into the work with modular synthesizers: they experiment, improvise, and develop sounds, noises, and sequences for their own compositions. Ernst Krenek’s modular synthesizer from 1967 will also be presented.

Workshop I: Sunday, 27 January 2019, from 10 am to 7 pm (incl. lunch break and public final presentation from 6 pm to 7 pm)

Workshop II: Thursday, 31 January 2019, from 4 pm to 9 pm (short version of the workshops without final presentation)
