forum frohner
A forum for cultural tolerance
forum frohner is an exhibition space located in the newly adapted complex of the former Minorite Monastery and has been part of the Kunsthalle Krems since September 2007. The central focus is on the artistic work of Adolf Frohner and on setting it in contrast to the works of international artists. According to Frohner, the forum is a place where everything can be done, a place for lively discussion. The forum remains true to his vision as a place open for cultural, community and social events. The rigorous yet restrained architecture of the exhibition space, a 'white cube' designed by architects Lukas Göbel and Alexander Bolecek, resonates with the mendicant order of the Minorites. As part of the adaptation of the building, the monastery gardens were also revitalized.
